Company History...
Richmond-Monroe began operations for the mortgage loan servicing industry and was incorporated on January 5, 1994. The principals of the corporation, Stanley Gainsforth and Larry Roberts, have worked together in different aspects of the loan industry since 1985. Their experience ranges from loan originations, loan brokering, and loan escrows to loan servicing.
The Richmond-Monroe companies were originated as a medium for a multi-purpose business in the mortgage industry, aimed at retrieval for lost mortgage documents and satisfaction outsource services. Early on, the specific needs in the industry allowed the two services to separate and operate independently. The name Richmond-Monroe was used by the research division (RM Research). The satisfaction outsourcing division used the d/b/a American Reconveyance Corporation (ARC). A third division for our release and assignment software, Rekon, was created in 1995.
The Rekon software was originated in 1993 by Stanley Gainsforth, as a tool for preparing satisfaction and assignment documents nationwide. The software was originally written for use by ARC. By 1995, the Rekon software had been tested and proven. Richmond Monroe made the software available as a product for use by the mortgage loan servicing industry. It was introduced at the Mortgage Bankers Association's Loan Servicing Conference in June 1995.
The name Richmond-Monroe Group was adopted in 1996 as a result of the associated services provided by the three divisions and the name recognition of Richmond Monroe. Originally located in Valencia, CA, the company has now grown to two locations. Relocating to southwest Missouri in May 2000, the established management of Richmond-Monroe Research and ARC simply implemented their custom workflow process to seamlessly continue processing orders. Rekon Technologies now claims residence in Pasadena, California.
Due to the relocation of the research & satisfaction outsourcing divisions to Missouri in May 2000, the satisfaction outsourcing division (ARC) was separately incorporated in Missouri as American Release Corporation and the release and assignment software division (Rekon) was incorporated in California as Rekon Technologies in June 2000.
The research division has remained under the original corporation of Richmond Monroe until this year when American Release Corporation registered a fictitious name of Richmond Monroe Group with the Missouri Secretary of State incorporating all research & satisfaction outsource services under the same corporation. In February 2006, the name was officially recognized by the State of Missouri as Richmond Monroe Group, Inc.
